Intel Hd Graphics 4400 Latest Driver
Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 3847 (which I think is now 4 years old). It has a Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400 card. I have recently been having problems with the text in Photoshop CC and Adobe support insist that the problem is with the Graphics card (although it seems to work fine with everything else and the display manager and Intel say it is working properly. I really need to replace it so can someone please recommend a replacement (I'm not a gamer so I don't need anything too powerful). I don't want to have to replace the Power Supply or any other components - I'm not that PC literate. I'd be grateful for any recommendations. A Dell Inspiron 3487 or did you mean 3847? If the 3847 I assume that you have the 300W power supply.
Have you looked at the PSU to check the wattage? The compatible cards listed in the specs were as follows. But I doubt you will find any of those except maybe on Ebay.

The GTX 1050 video card, however, only requires a 300W PSU and does not need a power plug. I would give that a look. Keep in mind that Intel HD Graphics 4400 is on the microprocessor. You can't 'replace' Intel Graphics. You can install an add-in video card, as was suggested, which may give you better performance.
But before you do, make sure you have the latest Intel chipset drivers and HD 4400 video drivers to see if that improves performance without having to buy an add-in video card. You can download the latest drivers for the Inspiron 3847. Be sure to select your version of Windows from the drop-down list before downloading any drivers. BTW: What version of BIOS do you have? But I'm not suggesting you update BIOS at this time.
